Why is it that in the UK we get taxed on everything?
Every single thing you spend money on, you get taxed to some extent – I couldn’t believe it the other day when I heard that you even get taxed on things like electricity and phone line rental (yes, I still live at home like some sort of lazy bastard student).
There was a bit on the news last night about lorries in London getting charged £200 a day, which is sort of like a tax I suppose.
£200 a day! Surely a bus has the same kind of engine size as a lorry, so will they have to pay the same amount?
This country is absolutely fucked.
It really disappoints me to say that, but it’s true. We pay tax through the arse, have a bit of a crime problem, too many people spunging off benefits and too many health and safety laws to stop people from having a bit of fun.
I’m pretty sure that within the next 5 years I’ll be gone – it’s a shame, but I’m not prepared to sit around while this country goes to shit.
I can’t wait.
