Dennis Wise At Newcastle?

Is somebody having a laugh?

Dennis Wise is apparently going to get paid £1 million a year as a Director Of Football, or some such pointless role. Quite why this is, I have no idea. Considering the guy is a nutjob in his own right, why Mike Ashley thought he needed to bring him in is something only he can answer.

Maybe King Kev is brining in ex-professional players for some reason? Or perhaps Mr Wise has a video of Keegan doing something he shouldn’?

Colour me puzzled by the whole thing.

In other news, Big Brother finished last night and I see Fat Bastard won - I hope that the three viewers that show had left enjoyed themselves.

Roll on more of the Big Brother guff in the Summer.

Dunfermline Are Simply Average

Friday
Jan 25,2008

Another post I meant to make earlier, but forgot.

I’ve come to the conclusion that Dunfermline are simply an average team.

Losing to Partick Thistle the other night (and against St Johnstone last weekend) helps to highlight the fact that they don’t have a team capable of getting out of the First Division - at least, not yet anyway.

It’s a shame, as when The Fat Orange Judas Bastard (aka Jimmy Calderwood) was in charge The Pars were in the top six of the SPL.

How times change.

Indeed, they have changed so much that I’ll leave you with a reminder of better times - footage of Dunfermline beating Celtic 2-0 during the 1989/90 season (it did happen, I’m not making it up!).

Cheerio.

A Damp Squib

Well, the return of Kevin Keegan heralded a new era for Newcastle United - allegedly.

After tonight’s goalless draw with Bolton, it’s obvious to everyone that there are just certain players at the club who shouldn’t be there - I’m not going to name names, but if you’ve seen Newcastle this season you’ll probably know who I mean.

Keegan probably doesn’t have enough time left in this transfer window to get in the players he’ll want, so I’m expecting him to spend most of the money Mike Ashley gives him in the summer.

It’s a pity that The Messiah wasn’t brought in sooner, as he would have had at least a little bit more time to get in some players - ah well!

In other news, Dunfermline lost today (1-0 to St Johnstone) - this is but a minor setback and I’m sure we’ll see The Pars at the top of the table come the end of the season.

We can but hope!

Kevin Keegan

The Messiah hath returneth home.

Is it a good thing that Kevin Keegan is back at Newcastle though?

I’m in two minds. On the one hand, he was the last manager to really excite the fans with some really entertaining football - but on the other, he has proven to be somewhat tactically inept at times (attack, attack, attack!).

It’s an exciting time to be a Newcastle fan though. A new manager, coupled with a 4-1 cup win over Stoke last night, has helped rejuvinate a side that looked pretty poor in recent weeks - just need to get some decent players in to really start making a difference.

Will King Kev’s return culminate in a surge up the table?

I will love it if he turns the club around, love it.

Ha, Ha, Ha! Newcastle Are Shit!

Good fucking lord.

6-0 to Manchester United. 6. Nil.

Awful, awful, awful.

What else can I say?

They were good, if not great, in the first half - but the second half was one of the worst displays of football I have ever seen in my entire life.

No pride, no effort, no fucking chance.

If you have kids, bring them up to support a team that might actually give a shit - trust me, it’s better in the long run.

I’ll have calmed down by tomorrow.

Mark Viduka Is The Saviour!

Sunday

Thank the lord for Mark Viduka!

As I was saying yesterday, Newcastle were going to win today - except that never happened.

Derby took the lead twice, and heading into the last five minutes it looked like The Toon were done for - until the man, the myth, the legend that is Mark Viduka popped up and equalised.

I still have egg on my face though!

In other news, I’m taking three days off starting tomorrow and then it’s back to work on the 27th (no rest for the wicked).

Also, it’s Christmas so have a good one - I’m sure Mark will!

Toodles.

Football Isn’t A Funny Old Game

Saturday
Dec 22,2007

When your teams are doing as averagely as mine are!

Some people may know that I support both Newcastle United and Dunfermline Athletic (for my sins).

Most people will probably know that both teams are doing pretty crap - until today!

Yes, roll out the barrels, Dunfermline won -a 2-0 win over Queen Of The South means that Jim McIntyre has his first victory as boss.

As much as I like the guy though, he isn’t the right man to lead the club forward - I personally believe that The Pars need someone who’ll give certain players the boot up the arse that they need (perhaps someone like Terry Butcher, even if he used to be a member of The Scum).

Newcastle face Derby tomorrow, and I’m confident of a win. Although Derby won the last time the two played, I can’t seem them getting anything out of the game.

Cue me appearing on here tomorrow with egg on my face!
